Treasures from the Kangshung Face of Everest Trek: Part Three

GeoEx staffer Jenny Jackson and her husband, Brian Jackson, journeyed to Tibet in September, 2013, on GeoEx’s Kangshung Face of Everest Trek. The 22-day journey was, according to Jenny, “one of the most amazing trips we’ve ever taken.” This week Wanderlust is showcasing a portfolio of Brian’s eye-catching photos from their extraordinary adventure, with Jenny’s captions.

Monastery visits were an ongoing highlight of the trip. I loved watching young monks debate the fine points of Buddhist philosophy, punctuating their arguments with impassioned hand gestures. This photo was taken at Sera Monastery in Lhasa.
