Geographic Expeditions Announces New Owner & CEO

Geographic Expeditions (GeoEx), which has been blazing trails in adventure travel for 39 years, is thrilled to announce that ownership of the company has been passed on to a beloved travel industry leader with a long history at the company, Brady Binstadt. Binstadt brings more than two decades of experience in the travel world, including eighteen years at GeoEx, to his new role with the company. In addition to assuming ownership, Binstadt will also immediately rejoin GeoEx’s day-to-day operations as Chief Executive Officer, leading an exceptionally strong and seasoned team who weathered a difficult year successfully.

Geographic Expeditions Launches Trailblazing Trip to Eritrea, Somaliland & Djibouti

The pent-up desire to visit far-flung destinations has many travelers pushing the boundaries for their next trip, according to adventure travel specialists Geographic Expeditions (GeoEx). Spurred by recent successes with 2021 and 2022 departures to relatively undiscovered destinations such as Angola and rural Japan, the company has just launched a three-country adventure along the Horn of Africa, exploring Eritrea, Djibouti, and the self-declared nation of Somaliland.

Geographic Expeditions Launches New Tour in Pakistan

At a time when most operators are shying away from Pakistan, trailblazing travel company Geographic Expeditions (GeoEx) has just launched a new 16-day itinerary there, from Islamabad to Karachi, with a focus on Indus Valley archeological sites and Mughal-era monuments. To begin this competition, USA TODAY asked a panel of experts to choose the 20 best adventure travel finalists from among hundreds of companies worldwide. Then the publication invited travelers around the globe to vote online to determine the best travel companies of all. At the end of the four-week voting period, GeoEx had bested numerous larger companies to place at number four in the world. GeoEx has consistently been ranked among the world’s top travel companies by magazines like Condé Nast Traveler, Outside, AFAR, and Travel + Leisure.

This marks Doty’s and Olson’s 7th straight appearance on the list, which spotlights the world’s leading travel experts and companies. Specialists are chosen by Condé Nast Traveler’s editors based on their combination of specialized knowledge, travel experience, local connections, excellence in customer service, and overall value.

Geographic Expeditions (GeoEx) Launches Its First All-Women’s Group Tour

Trailblazing travel company Geographic Expeditions (GeoEx), which has spearheaded group travel to Tibet, Iran, Bhutan, Patagonia, and numerous other destinations, is offering its first women-only tour, a 13-day exploration of Egypt from Cairo to Aswan. Led by two acclaimed female experts, the small-group journey—12 travelers maximum—will feature special-access visits to ancient tombs and contemporary homes, an intimate hands-on lesson in Egyptian home cooking, and an exclusive introduction to the art of Nubian dancing.
