Experience Bhutan's Superb Scenery and Proud Traditions

GeoEx has been exploring Bhutan since 1985, when the country was largely isolated and ruled by absolute monarchy. Today, the country is a parliamentary democracy, luxurious lodgings abound, and well-paved roads make the connection between verdant valleys swift and smooth. What remains is all that initially drew us (and all that keeps visitors long attached): the pure and plentiful nature, the warm and friendly people, the rich and unifying culture, and the strong Buddhist belief that is practiced in an enveloping and welcoming way.

Best Times to Visit Bhutan

The best time to visit Bhutan is in the spring, from March to May, and fall, from September to November, comfortable weather and stunning views. For fewer crowds and the clearest mountain views, visit in December.
