After a brief exploration of Islamabad, begin your journey north with a flight to Skardu, gateway to the mighty Karakoram Range Continue to Khaplu, connecting with welcoming villagers along the route and exploring the region’s fascinating history.

4 – 5
From Khaplu, journey to Gilgit, capital of the Baltistan region and an important stop along the famed Silk Road Explore the area and be warmly welcomed into the home of your local guide.

6 – 9
Journey to the Upper Hunza Valley and uncover the dramatic landscapes of Khunjerab National Park Ascend to the dizzying heights of the Khunjerab Pass, the world's highest border crossing, before continuing to Gulmit, one of the oldest settlements in the region Make an excursion to the active Passu Glacier.
