This journey takes you to a far less traveled part of the land down under. After overnighting in Perth you'll head south to the Margaret River, where great wine, fine food, and breathtaking scenery meld into one. Drive along the coast, making stops at Augusta and the timber town of Bunbury.

Then a short flight whisks you to Broome, an exotic pearling center at the western gateway to the Kimberley region of Western Australia, whose history and culture is as vibrant as its landscape. You'll visit Gantheaume Point to see dinosaur footprints thought to be more than 130 million years old. Enjoy being naturally spoiled in Kununurra, where you meet the resident rock wallabies and cheeky archer fish, and learn about the Aboriginal people's use of native flora. If you're game, opt to take a scenic flight over the towering orange-and-black striped rocks of the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park.

Next, take an urban hiatus in sunny Perth with time for shopping and sightseeing in its port city, Fremantle. Your last three nights are spent in an exclusive safari camp hidden in the white sand dunes of Cape Range National Park, with ample opportunity to snorkel and kayak at UNESCO World Heritage-status Ningaloo Reef.
