Even veteran GeoEx travelers are sometimes surprised to learn that more than half our business consists of Private Expeditions— trips either constructed from the ground up to meet your specifications, or trips that allow you to travel privately with family or friends. Here are the Private Expeditionary services we focus on.
Classic Journeys
Our Classic Journeys are a chance to travel with just your friends or loved ones, and receive all the same services that you would when traveling on one of our small group tours. You'll find more than 40 sparkling itineraries on our Classic Journeys page with daily or weekly departures, on most you're trip will be completely private. A few of these journeys include voyages, with other travelers onboard.
Custom Journeys
Lots of companies will tell you how eager they are to plan custom trips. But, if we may say so gently, they aren’t. Creating handcrafted, one-of-a-kind itineraries is labor intensive. It demands delicacy, experience, imagination, and empathy. We’re good at it, we like it, and we’ve got a successful 27-year track record to prove it. Our travel wizards (far and away the industry’s most experienced) routinely pull off complex and difficult travel logistics, knitting together trips of all kinds to just about all places, for couples, groups of friends, academic institutions, museums, location and production companies, a variety of nonprofit groups, and families. (A few years ago we orchestrated an epic 480-day ’round-the-world trip for a family of six; it was one of the highlights of their travel life . . . and ours.)
Our Custom Journeys are hand-tailored to match your specifications. They often cost more than our regularly scheduled trips, but our clients find the chance to customize their travel well worth the extra dollars.
