Ecuador

Revel in Andean culture and Galápagos wildlife

The Galápagos are Ecuador’s major calling card, but this lovely little country has much more to offer than the blissful wildlife sanctuary. There’s Quito, its World Heritage Site capital, graced with colonial architecture. There are the highlands, a beguilingly beautiful array of green forests and farmlands punctuated by massive glacier-topped volcanoes. And there are charming villages and towns inhabited by Andean folk whose fascinating cultures and history, and welcoming spirit make travel in Ecuador a delight.

Mashpi Rainforest Biodiversity Reserve

On a custom Ecuador trip extension, we'll arrange for you to experience one of the world's most important biodiversity hotspots based from the exquisite, newly opened Mashpi Lodge. Set in the cloud forest on the western slopes of the Andes, the lodge is less than three hour's drive from Quito. This video offers just a taste.
