Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia

This charming, carefully choreographed journey takes us to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia: three fascinating countries that, because of their early Hindu and Chinese cultural and artistic influence, became collectively known as Indochina. In very high, comfortable, and traditional GeoEx style, we’ll explore the green mountains, blue seas, and enduring legacies of this vibrant region with docent-led visits to museums and galleries, lectures from local experts, some extraordinary culinary experiences, and much scenery gazing.

We range from the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City to the old, evocative port of Hoi An, and on to the brilliant historical sites of the Nguyen Dynasty capital of Hue. We’ll wander amid the French colonial architecture of Hanoi and cruise among the fantastic, skyscrapery limestone karsts of Halong Bay. And after visiting the enchanting temples and tranquil streets of Laos’ Luang Prabang, we end with a couple of stunning days in Angkor.
