It’s a rare traveler who hasn’t dreamed of visiting Tibet. For centuries it was the “furthest goal of travel,” and it remains one of the most beguiling places on earth. We were at the forefront of travel to Tibet almost a quarter of a century ago, and our deep affection for the vast sceneries and engaging people of the great plateau remains intense.
Our long experience in Tibet and our decades of partnership with our supremely competent Tibetan associates allow us to craft Private Journeys hither: to the sublime monasteries and temples of Lhasa, Shigatse, and Gyantse; and yon: to the rarely visited East Face of Everest, to Lake Namsto, to the Litang Festival, and into the forests, alpine vistas, and wondrously remote villages of Kham. We can arrange trips that focus on Buddhism, with visits to important, but remote, pilgrimage sites and monasteries. And we can take you into mountain areas few Westerners have ever seen. All in good GeoEx style, with an eye for living culture and history and endless, high beauty.
