Tanzania tours & luxury safaris

Tanzania inspires a fierce loyalty among old Africa hands. Its wildlife is as rich and bountiful as any place in East Africa, but there is much else. Its gentle and gracious people, its quieter pace, and its soaring landscapes are exceptional, even for a continent as vast and soaring as Africa.

From its deep rift lakes to its pinnacle at Kilimanjaro, through the rolling plains, the “warm sea of life” of the Serengeti and some of Africa’s least visited and most enchanting parks, Tanzania entices us with awe-striking beauty. Among its plentiful and varied wildlife, the country particularly stands out for its large, easily viewed populations of elephant, large cats (especially lions), wildebeest, and zebra. Travel here, especially to the remotest areas, demands the kind of astute planning we relish. Our mobile safaris take us in comfort, safety, and unassuming luxury far into the back of Tanzania’s beyond, allowing us to explore seldom-seen landscapes and visit untrammeled tribal cultures.

About Geographic Expeditions in Africa. Since much of our Africa tour business consists of privately arranged safaris, we’re adept at hiring rigorously professional tour guides with the talent not only to entertain, but also to educate our travelers. Our roster of guides is Africa’s finest (a claim we’re happy to back up). Among our notable ventures: we’ve worked with Richard Leakey, constructed safaris for the Walt Disney Imagineering Team, and helped bring Africa to Hollywood, with location work on the films Out of Africa and The Lion King.
