We roam Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, and Marrakech—among other fabled places in a country filled with them. We delight in introducing our travelers to a Morocco that is behind the well-traveled scenes. Eastward across the High Atlas and down through the daunting Ziz Gorge, we meet Morocco’s wilder side, experiencing the erg, the country’s finest example of the Sahara’s oceanic dunes. Some of us even climb into four-wheel-drive vehicles and set out across the Sahara—an adventure reserved for the more intrepid.

Throughout this past spring, our travelers to Morocco happily experienced the warmth, hospitality, and safety for which the country is known. There have been demonstrations by a few groups; however, the government on the whole has the support of the people, and a nationwide referendum on July 1 confirmed constitutional reforms proposed by King Mohammed VI to shift some of his powers to elected government and guarantee greater equality for women and Berber peoples.
