We visit many of the highlights of Nature walks in Costa Rica, but for those of us with a taste for outings a little more strenuous, we bike, snorkel, hike, and raft, giving us a different take on the country’s natural glories. Our evenings are spent at the same caliber of restful and rewardingly comfortable lodges and hotels.

Day 1: USA to San José • Day 2: Pacific Coast bike and paddle at Villa Lapa • Day 3: drive to Hacienda Baru for jungle canopy tour • Day 4: snorkel at Cano Island • Day 5: bike ride to Copey and Santa María de Dota • Day 6: hike at Cerro de la Muerte • Day 7: raft Pacuare River, afternoon return to San José • Day 8: return to USA.
