Winter and Summer in Bhutan
This summer and winter trip, when touristic solitude reigns, takes us (and our guide and driver) to a quartet of new luxury hostelries – the superb Amans in Punakha, Gangtey, and Thimphu and, at trip’s start and end, Paro’s new Zhiwa Ling. During our explorations of the Dragon Kingdom, we’ll have dinner at the home of Bhutanese friends, a lovely farm and school visit, prayer flag ceremonies, massages and spa treatments at the end of the day, optional cooking classes and traditional tea ceremonies, meetings with Bhutanese dignitaries and government officials, and more. Given that this is an especially quiet time in the already quite quiet kingdom, this trip can be easily hand-tailored to meet your interests and tastes.
