Adam began regularly visiting Cuba as a trip leader on people-to-people exchanges. Over the past 18 months he has made eight trips to the island nation, spending nearly 6 months walking the streets of Havana, Viñales, Trinidad, and Santiago, and sampling as many new paladares as he can find along the way. It's this insatiable curiosity that landed him on Condé Nast Traveler's Top Travel Specialist list for Cuba.
His passion for Cuba comes through in the trips he organizes, focusing his efforts on escaping the island’s newly worn tourist track and providing his guests with the types of experiences and authentic local interactions that independent travelers to Cuba would miss. Adam has spent months walking the streets of Havana, Viñales, Trinidad, and Santiago in search of the best and the newest hidden spots. Read his accounts on our blog.
Born and raised in Southern California, Adam left after finishing his undergraduate work at UCLA. Since then, he’s lived in Japan, Cambodia, Argentina, and Ecuador. He’s earned a master’s degree in international development from Georgetown University and worked on consulting projects in India, Patagonia, Burma, Morocco, and Peru. Now based in the Bay Area, Adam spends his downtime exploring the Marin Headlands, baking cookies with his grandmother, and researching his next trek in South America.
