One of our favorite pastimes is inviting our best-loved storytellers to share their adventures with us. Whether they are icons of the literary world or experts in their own field, we relish hearing their experiences and appreciate the way they propel us towards our own travel imaginings.
The Way of Wanderlust with Don George
Thank you for recently joining us for an evening with legendary writer and world traveler Don George as we celebrated the publication of his new book, The Way of Wanderlust—the first collection of his own articles and tales from his 38-year career as a travel writer. We traveled with Don around the world as he recalled stories spanning four decades of adventures, from exploring the jungle temples of Cambodia and experiencing a life-changing epiphany in France to falling in love in Japan.
We hope you enjoyed the conversation and came away feeling reflective and inspired. With your help, we supported and raised awareness for the non-profit Room to Read, which focuses on literacy and gender equality in education across Asia and Africa.
For those who were unable to attend or who wish to relive the evening, please check back here shortly for a video of the talk.
Don is Editor in Chief of Wanderlust, GeoEx’s blog, and Editor at Large for National Geographic Traveler. He has authored The Way of Wanderlust: The Best Travel Writing of Don George and Lonely Planet’s acclaimed Guide to Travel Writing.
